The Argentine government appointed Juan José Gomez Centurión vice president at state-run Banco de la Nación Argentina, according to an official decree published Dec. 14.
Gomez Centurión has been serving as the head of Argentina's Customs authority, a position he vacated temporarily in 2016 due to corruption allegations before being cleared by a judge, Clarín reported.
His selection for the post follows the recent appointment of two news directors at the bank.
