Khator Fibre & Fabrics fiscal Q1 profit climbs YOY

Khator Fibre & Fabrics Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal first quarter ended June 30 was 2.4 million rupees, a gain from 2.4 million rupees in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis.

The normalized profit margin fell to 2.1% from 2.3% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue climbed 11.0% year over year to 115.6 million rupees from 104.2 million rupees, and total operating expenses grew 12.3% year over year to 107.8 million rupees from 96.0 million rupees.

Reported net income totaled 3.9 million rupees, compared with 3.8 million rupees in the year-earlier period.

As of Aug. 15, US$1 was equivalent to 60.80 Indian rupees.
