BNP Paribas SA made several changes to its senior management team in the U.S. and the Americas.
Jean-Yves Fillion, CEO of BNP Paribas USA Inc. and CEO of the company's corporate and investment banking, or CIB, business in the Americas, was named chairman of CIB Americas. Fillion will remain CEO of BNP Paribas USA.
Bob Hawley, deputy CEO of CIB Americas, was appointed CEO of CIB Americas, succeeding Fillion in the role. Hawley will remain head of the institutional platform in the Americas and head of global markets Americas. He will also be responsible for the Brazilian CIB platform.
Pierre Veyres was appointed deputy head of CIB Americas and head of the corporate platform in the Americas. He will oversee the CIB platforms in the Latin America region and Canada. Veyres formerly was CEO of the BNP Paribas Singapore branch as well as head of territory for Singapore and head of CIB Southeast Asia.
Philippe Ricard was named COO of CIB Americas. He succeeds Bruno d'Illiers, who is assuming a new role with the bank in Paris. Ricard will remain COO of BNP Paribas USA.
Sonja Volpe was appointed country head of Canada. Volpe first joined BNP Paribas in 2015.
Thalès Gabay will serve as head of Asset Liabilities Management Treasury, or ALM Treasury, for CIB Americas, succeeding Jonathan Light, who is retiring. Gabay most recently was head of ALM Treasury for Asia Pacific.
Amanda Rajkumar will become head of human resources for BNP Paribas USA and CIB Americas. Rajkumar most recently was responsible for human resources for global markets and financial institutions coverage in London at BNP Paribas.
And Emmanuelle Bury was appointed chief conduct and control officer for BNP Paribas USA and CIB Americas. Bury most recently was the global COO for the ALM Treasury Group at BNP Paribas Paris.
