Bapcor fiscal H1 profit climbs YOY

Bapcor Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal first half ended Dec. 31, 2014, came to 6 Australian cents per share, an increase from 6 cents per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was A$9.7 million, an increase from A$4.8 million in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue grew 9.7% year over year to A$185.0 million from A$168.7 million, and total operating expenses rose 10.0% year over year to A$167.7 million from A$152.4 million.

Reported net income grew on an annual basis to A$10.9 million, or 7 cents per share, from A$1.9 million, or 2 cents per share.
