Trafco Group Q1 profit climbs YOY

Trafco Group B.S.C. said its normalized net income for the first quarter was 442,430 dinars, a rise from 422,800 dinars in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis.

The normalized profit margin declined to 4.3% from 4.3% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue climbed 4.9% on an annual basis to 10.4 million dinars from 9.9 million dinars, and total operating expenses increased from the prior-year period to 9.9 million dinars from 9.6 million dinars.

Reported net income grew 7.6% year over year to 691,610 dinars, or 9 fils per share, from 642,930 dinars, or 8 fils per share.

As of May 6, US$1 was equivalent to 380 Bahraini fils.
