Alera Group Inc. has acquired West Texas Insurance Exchange Inc. for undisclosed terms, Business Insurance reported.

Based in Odessa, Texas, the acquired entity focuses on the oil and gas and trucking industries and offers services related to commercial auto, umbrella liability, workers' compensation and employee benefits.

The acquired entity will retain all 25 employees and continue to operate under the name West Texas Insurance Exchange.
