Report: Clayton Dubilier, Illinois Tool Works seek $2.75B sale of Wilsonart

Clayton Dubilier & Rice LLC tapped Goldman Sachs to aid in the potential sale of Wilsonart, Reuters reported, citing unnamed sources.

The private equity firm, which is the majority shareholder, and co-owner Illinois Tool Works Inc. are looking to sell Wilsonart at a valuation of $2.75 billion.

One source told the news outlet that Wilsonart is in discussions with private equity firms and other potential acquirers.

The Texas-based company manufactures countertops, laminates and other surfacing materials for the furniture and office sectors. Its brands include Wilsonart, Resopal, Polyrey and Arborite.
