Polish producer PGNiG looks to boost natural gas extraction at Podkarpacie

Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA said Oct. 7 that new deposits discovered in the Podkarpacie region will boost natural gas extraction by 28% in the next five years, to 1.75 billion cubic meters.

The deposits, discovered near Kramarzówka, are estimated to be as large as 12 billion cubic meters and are sitting in rock formations that have never been in commercial use.

Natural gas from Kramarzówka is expected to begin flowing in mid-2019, once the pipeline comes online.
