The Royal Hotel, Ltd said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, came to ¥68.57 per share, a gain from ¥24.09 per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥702.5 million, a gain of 25.6% from ¥559.4 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin rose to 5.5% from 4.4% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue came to ¥12.79 billion, compared with ¥12.68 billion in the year-earlier period, and total operating expenses totaled ¥11.58 billion, compared with ¥11.68 billion in the year-earlier period.
Reported net income totaled a loss of ¥837.0 million, or a loss of ¥81.70 per share, compared to income of ¥828.2 million, or ¥35.67 per share, in the year-earlier period.
As of Feb. 13, US$1 was equivalent to ¥118.68.
