Ramboda Falls PLC said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, amounted to 22 Sri Lankan cents per share, a gain of 57.5% from 14 cents per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 4.5 million rupees, an increase of 56.6% from 2.9 million rupees in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin increased to 17.0% from 13.7% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue increased 25.9% year over year to 26.6 million rupees from 21.1 million rupees, and total operating expenses grew 16.7% on an annual basis to 18.3 million rupees from 15.7 million rupees.
Reported net income rose 64.1% year over year to 6.6 million rupees, or 33 cents per share, from 4.0 million rupees, or 20 cents per share.
As of Feb. 10, US$1 was equivalent to 132.84 Sri Lankan rupees.
