LinkedIn's data center in Singapore goes online

LinkedInCorp.'s data center in Singapore, thecompany's first outside the U.S., went online.

LinkedIn invested S$80 million on the new data center,spanning 23,500 square feet in Jurong, the company said April 6.

The new data center in Singapore processes all of theprofessional network's online traffic in the Asia-Pacific region and will alsohandle about a third of global traffic.

As of April 6, US$1was equivalent to S$1.35.
