Cuu Long Fish Q1 profit falls YOY

Cuu Long Fish JSC said its normalized net income for the first quarter came to 50.69 dong per share, a decline of 29.4% from 71.85 dong per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 932.3 million dong, a decrease of 29.8% from 1.33 billion dong in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin dropped to 0.4% from 0.6% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue came to 222.61 billion dong, compared with 223.80 billion dong in the year-earlier period, and total operating expenses fell on an annual basis to 215.09 billion dong from 217.96 billion dong.

Reported net income fell 25.8% from the prior-year period to 1.34 billion dong, or 73.00 dong per share, from 1.81 billion dong, or 98.00 dong per share.

As of April 20, US$1 was equivalent to 21,582.50 dong.
