PE firm to buy Donuts Inc.

Private equity firm Abry Partners Inc. agreed to buy Donuts Inc., an internet domain name registry company, for an undisclosed sum.

"Individuals and businesses manage their digital identities in an increasingly complex world of proliferating devices, platforms and access points," Erik Brooks, managing partner at Abry Partners, said in a Sept. 5 news release. "Donuts is ideally positioned with the world's largest portfolio of new [top-level domains], a proven team with deep experience in scaling successful technology companies, and a track record of innovation in their industry."

Abry Partners is a private equity investment firm focused on media, communications, insurance, business and information services.
