Goyo Intex fiscal Q4 profit climbs 20.7% YOY

4245363 said its normalized net income for the fiscal fourth quarter ended March 31 was ¥1.60 per share, an increase of 10.9% from ¥1.44 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥21.9 million, a gain of 20.7% from ¥18.1 million in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin dropped to 3.4% from 3.9% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue climbed 38.8% on an annual basis to ¥644.0 million from ¥464.0 million, and total operating expenses increased 40.8% year over year to ¥607.0 million from ¥431.0 million.

Reported net income rose on an annual basis to ¥36.0 million, or ¥2.63 per share, from ¥16.0 million, or ¥1.27 per share.

For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled a loss of ¥3.97 per share, compared with ¥2.03 per share in the prior year.

Normalized net income was a loss of ¥53.1 million, compared with income of ¥25.0 million in the prior year.

Full-year total revenue grew 5.1% on an annual basis to ¥1.60 billion from ¥1.52 billion, and total operating expenses grew 13.9% year over year to ¥1.67 billion from ¥1.46 billion.

The company said reported net income totaled a loss of ¥90.0 million, or a loss of ¥6.73 per share, in the full year, compared with income of ¥25.0 million, or ¥2.03 per share, the prior year.
