Capilano Honey fiscal H2 profit climbs YOY

4912077 said its normalized net income for the fiscal second half ended June 30 was 44 Australian cents per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of 42 cents per share.

EPS climbed year over year from 22 cents.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was A$3.8 million, an increase from A$1.8 million in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue grew 46.9% year over year to A$62.7 million from A$42.7 million, and total operating expenses grew 43.0% year over year to A$56.3 million from A$39.4 million.

Reported net income grew 67.0% from the prior-year period to A$4.2 million, or 49 cents per share, from A$2.5 million, or 30 cents per share.

For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled 82 cents per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus normalized EPS estimate of 80 cents.

EPS rose from 39 cents in the prior year.

Normalized net income was A$7.0 million, a rise from A$3.4 million in the prior year.
