Valor Holdings fiscal Q3 profit climbs 12.0% YOY

Valor Holdings Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, was ¥57.88 per share, a gain of 12.0% from ¥51.69 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥2.98 billion, an increase of 12.0% from ¥2.66 billion in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin increased to 2.4% from 2.3% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue grew 5.6% year over year to ¥124.57 billion from ¥118.00 billion, and total operating expenses climbed 5.4% year over year to ¥120.14 billion from ¥114.01 billion.

Reported net income rose 7.4% year over year to ¥2.89 billion, or ¥56.06 per share, from ¥2.69 billion, or ¥52.18 per share.

As of Feb. 10, US$1 was equivalent to ¥119.28.
