Nike buys predictive analytics firm Celect

Beaverton, Ore.-based sportswear-maker Nike Inc. said Aug. 6 that it has bought cloud-based retail predictive analytics platform Celect.

Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

Boston-based Celect was founded in 2013.

Celect's team will be immediately integrated into Nike's global operations team, and its co-founders will consult Nike on an ongoing basis.

In July, Reuters reported that Nike is evaluating options for its surfwear brand Hurley International LLC.
