Metalart Corp. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, came to ¥34.87 per share, an increase of 44.2% from ¥24.19 per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥549.6 million, a gain of 44.2% from ¥381.3 million in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin climbed to 8.4% from 5.5% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue decreased 5.9% year over year to ¥6.51 billion from ¥6.92 billion, and total operating expenses fell from the prior-year period to ¥6.17 billion from ¥6.34 billion.
Reported net income rose 29.6% year over year to ¥477.0 million, or ¥30.26 per share, from ¥368.0 million, or ¥23.35 per share.
As of Feb. 13, US$1 was equivalent to ¥118.68.
