Thomson Reuters Corp. named Brian Peccarelli and Neil Masterson co-COOs, effective July 1.
Peccarelli, currently president of tax and accounting, will be responsible for customer markets. Masterson, currently executive vice president and chief transformation officer, will oversee operations and enablement.
The mass media and information company also disclosed a number of executive departures as it looks to reduce its cost base amid a planned sale of a 55% interest in its financial and risk business to private equity funds managed by Blackstone Group LP. These are Gonzalo Lissarrague, president of the global growth organization, and Susan Taylor Martin, president of Thomson Reuters' legal business, who will leave at the end of June to pursue other opportunities in the U.K. The deal is expected to close in the second half.
Chief Communications Officer Gus Carlson and Chief Strategy Officer Brian Scanlon are also leaving Thomson Reuters as the company resizes its corporate center to fit the new organization.
Reuters News will continue to be led by President and Editor-in-Chief Steve Adler.
Thomson Reuters also reaffirmed its 2018 financial outlook, which was disclosed in May.
