Persimmon's H1 total revenues climb 5% YOY

Persimmon PLC's first-half revenues totaled about £1.84 billion, a rise of 5% from £1.75 billion in the period ended June 30, 2017.

Housing revenues accounted for £1.74 billion of the total, also representing a year-over-year rise of 5%.

Total forward sales of new housing amounted to £1.68 billion, up from £1.60 billion a year earlier.

During the first half of the year, the London-listed homebuilder sold forward about 4,900 new homes into the private sales market at an approximately 2% higher average selling price of about £236,700, compared to the year-ago period. It also added 45 new land parcels, expected to yield about 11,000 new homes.

Cash on hand increased year over year to £1.15 billion from £1.12 billion.

In the second half of this year, Persimmon aims to deliver about 100 new sales outlets.
