Japanese vacation rental company Rakuten Lifull Stay Inc. has partnered with South Korean booking company Yanolja Corp., according to a Rakuten Inc. announcement dated March 7.
Under the collaboration, Rakuten Lifull Stay will provide Yanolja with property listings from its rental information website Vacation Stay, enabling Yanolja app users to rent vacation properties in Japan.
Yanolja is an online-to-offline company with 17,000 registered hotel partners, according to Rakuten. Its platform has over 9 million online members and features more than 41,000 property listings.
Rakuten Lifull Stay Inc., which was first unveiled June 22, 2017, is a subsidiary of Rakuten Lifull Stay Pte. Ltd., a joint venture of Rakuten with Lifull Co. Ltd. It has teamed up with online platforms globally, including Expedia Inc.'s HomeAway Inc., Taiwan's AsiaYo Co. Ltd., China's Tujia and the Netherlands' Booking.com. It also manages Leopalace21 Corp.'s vacation rental properties.
On Jan. 17, the company announced that it will begin accepting property registrations on its Vacation Stay platform beginning March 15. Vacation Stay, the website's tentative name, was launched Sept. 4, 2017.
