State Bank of India to raise up to 50B rupees in bonds

State Bank of India plans to raise up to 50 billion rupees by issuing Basel III-compliant Tier 2 bonds.

The bonds will be issued to overseas or Indian investors during fiscal 2020 through a public offer or private placement.

As of May 29, US$1 was equivalent to 69.87 Indian rupees.
