Tiger Global Management ups stake in Sunrun

Tiger Global Management LLC and related funds increased their stake in Sunrun Inc. to 26,056,051 common shares representing a 22.2% ownership, according to an amended Schedule 13D filed Sept. 11.

The hedge fund bought approximately 2,122,338 shares of the residential solar panel company in several transactions between Aug. 29 and Sept. 11 at per-share prices ranging from $14.976 to $15.466. In an August filing, Tiger Global Management disclosed beneficial ownership of 23,933,713 shares of Sunrun's issued and outstanding shares, or an ownership of 20.4%.

Based on S&P Global Market Intelligence data, the hedge fund is the largest owner of Sunrun's common stock. In July filing, Tiger Global Management disclosed beneficial ownership of 19% of the company's issued and outstanding shares.
