MAA Group unit delays closing of Columbus Capital deal

Columbus Capital Singapore Pte Ltd., a unit of Malaysia's MAA Group Bhd., has pushed back the closing date of the proposed sale of its stake in Columbus Capital Pty Ltd. to on or before Dec. 31.

The proposed transaction was initially expected to close by Dec. 20, according to a same-day release.

Earlier in December, Columbus Capital Singapore Pte Ltd. agreed to sell its 47.95% stake, or 24,336,000 shares, in Australia-based Columbus Capital to Consortia Group Holdings Pty Ltd. for A$21.0 million in cash.
