Rockwell Collins Inc. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended March 31 amounted to $1.13 per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of $1.21 per share.
EPS rose 14.0% year over year from 99 cents.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was $150.6 million, an increase of 11.1% from $135.6 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin rose to 11.2% from 10.8% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue grew 6.5% year over year to $1.34 billion from $1.26 billion, and total operating expenses grew 5.9% on an annual basis to $1.09 billion from $1.03 billion.
Reported net income increased 10.1% on an annual basis to $163.1 million, or $1.22 per share, from $148.2 million, or $1.08 per share.
