Stream Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal fourth quarter ended Jan. 31 came to ¥3.70 per share, a gain from 97 sen per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥101.3 million, a gain from ¥19.4 million in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin increased to 1.9% from 0.4% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue came to ¥5.33 billion, compared with ¥5.36 billion in the year-earlier period, and total operating expenses fell on an annual basis to ¥5.17 billion from ¥5.34 billion.
Reported net income increased 19.3% year over year to ¥94.2 million, or ¥3.44 per share, from ¥79.0 million, or ¥3.95 per share.
For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled ¥7.44 per share, compared with a loss of ¥4.73 per share in the prior year.
Normalized net income was ¥185.9 million, compared with a loss of ¥94.3 million in the prior year.
Full-year total revenue rose 21.9% on an annual basis to ¥20.34 billion from ¥16.69 billion, and total operating expenses grew 19.1% year over year to ¥20.06 billion from ¥16.85 billion.
The company said reported net income totaled ¥260.9 million, or ¥10.44 per share, in the full year, compared with a loss of ¥84.0 million, or a loss of ¥4.22 per share, the prior year.
As of April 30, US$1 was equivalent to ¥119.69.
