Boralex closes acquisition of 100-MW wind portfolio in France

Boralex Inc. completed the acquisition of the last tranche of a portfolio of eight wind projects developed by French wind energy developer Ecotera Développement.

The portfolio includes wind facilities at different stages of development with a combined capacity of more than 100 MW, according to a Dec. 20 news release. Boralex will develop and operate the wind projects.

As part of the deal, Boralex will also acquire Ecotera Développement, "which wraps up a successful partnership that began three years ago," Vice President and General Manager of Boralex Europe Patrick Decostre said.
