Sony Financial Holdings Inc. renewed its shelf registration to issue ¥40 billion of corporate bonds to the Kanto Local Finance Bureau of the Ministry of Finance.

Under the shelf registration, the issue period for the bonds is from April 18, 2017, to April 17, 2019, according to an April 10 release.

Proceeds from the issuance will be used for loans and investments for the company's subsidiaries.

As of April 10, US$1 was equivalent to ¥111.13.
