Soko Seiren Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, amounted to a loss of ¥15.58 per share, compared with a loss of ¥1.19 per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was a loss of ¥111.0 million, compared with a loss of ¥8.5 million in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin declined to negative 13.9% from negative 0.8% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue decreased 25.0% year over year to ¥801.0 million from ¥1.07 billion, and total operating expenses fell 12.0% from the prior-year period to ¥992.0 million from ¥1.13 billion.
Reported net income totaled a loss of ¥182.0 million, or a loss of ¥25.55 per share, compared to a loss of ¥136.0 million, or a loss of ¥19.09 per share, in the year-earlier period.
As of Feb. 13, US$1 was equivalent to ¥118.68.
