Bank of America to lease HBO building in New York City

Bank of America Corp. is set to occupy the entire HBO building at 1100 6th Ave. in New York City, the leasehold for which is owned by Brookfield Property Partners LP and the Swig Co., the New York Post reported, citing corporate and real estate sources.

The bank will expand from its current One Bryant Park Manhattan home to the 386,000-square-foot office and retail building when HBO and its parent company Time Warner relocate to Related Cos.' new 30 Hudson Yards in 2019.

Brookfield Property and Swig purchased the leasehold on the property earlier in 2017. Brookfield plans to announce a complete overhaul of the property shortly, according to the publication.
