S&P Global Inc. has agreed to acquire New York-based Panjiva, Inc., a machine learning and data analytics company providing intelligence on global supply chains.
Panjiva provides macro data covering 95% of global trade flows and transactional data covering 35% of global trade flows. It tracks supply data from retailers, exporters and shippers across industries and commodities. The deal is expected to close in the next few weeks, S&P Global said.
The acquisition of Panjiva is expected to add to profits in 2019, excluding integration expenses, S&P Global said. The company does not expect a material impact to its adjusted EPS in 2018.
