Aohata Corp. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended April 30 came to ¥26.65 per share, an increase of 56.7% from ¥17.01 per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥215.1 million, a gain of 83.7% from ¥117.1 million in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin climbed to 3.2% from 2.1% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue climbed 21.3% year over year to ¥6.73 billion from ¥5.55 billion, and total operating expenses grew 19.4% year over year to ¥6.43 billion from ¥5.38 billion.
Reported net income increased 56.3% on an annual basis to ¥186.0 million, or ¥23.04 per share, from ¥119.0 million, or ¥17.28 per share.
As of June 12, US$1 was equivalent to ¥123.29.
