An Giang Import Export Co. said its normalized net income for the second quarter came to 1.00 billion dong, a decrease of 72.9% from 3.69 billion dong in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis.

The normalized profit margin fell to 0.2% from 0.7% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue rose 8.8% on an annual basis to 583.54 billion dong from 536.58 billion dong, and total operating expenses climbed 8.9% from the prior-year period to 579.61 billion dong from 532.11 billion dong.

Reported net income totaled 1.77 billion dong, compared with 6.22 billion dong, or 340.76 dong per share, in the year-earlier period.

As of July 20, US$1 was equivalent to 21,823.50 dong.
