Enel Green Power starts building 51-MW wind farm in Spain

Enel Green Power España SLU started building a 51-MW wind farm in Cuenca province, Spain, according to a Sept. 30 company statement.

The Endesa SA-owned renewable energy developer will spend €56 million to build the project, expected to be fully operational by early 2020.

The new facility adds to the 519 MW of wind projects Enel Green Power España is building in Aragon, Castile-León, Andalusia and Galicia in Spain. The company aims to decarbonize its generation mix by having an installed renewables capacity of 8.4 GW by 2021.

Enel Green Power is the global renewable energy business line of Italy's Enel SpA.
