U.K.-based asset management firm Cairn Capital Ltd. appointed Nicholas Chalmers CEO, replacing Paul Campbell.
Chalmers, who was previously CEO and president at Oceanwood Capital Management LLP, will join Cairn Capital's executive management committee and the boards of holding company Cairn Capital Group Ltd., subject to regulatory approvals.
Campbell, who co-founded the firm in 2004 and navigated it through the financial crisis, will continue to serve as a senior adviser and will remain involved in the investment process and risk oversight.
The move comes as Cairn Capital approaches $5 billion of AUM, according to a Sept. 3 statement.
Meanwhile, Matthew Turner and Andrew Baker, director and COO at Oceanwood Capital Management and director of the company's business development, respectively, have taken on Chalmers' responsibilities, Pensions and Investments reported, citing an Oceanwood spokeswoman.
Italy's Mediobanca - Banca di Credito Finanziario SpA is the ultimate parent of Cairn Capital, according to S&P Global Market Intelligence data.
