Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan gets new chairman

The Pakistani government appointed Shaukat Hussain as chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan, effective immediately, Dawn reported May 13.

The move came after the government withdrew a cabinet approval to name SECP commissioner Tahir Mahmood as the head of the regulator.
