Olympus Power closes sale of 30-MW Pa. waste coal plant

Olympus Westwood Funding LLC has completed the sale of the 30-MW Westwood waste coal plant in Schuylkill County, Pa., to a unit of Rausch Creek Land LP, according to a Nov. 27 notice to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. Olympus Westwood Funding is a subsidiary of Olympus Power LLC.

The facility is interconnected to the transmission system operated by PJM Interconnection and owned by PPL Corp. subsidiary PPL Electric Utilities Corp. FERC approved the transaction Oct. 31.
