Apple Inc. is launching a group of medical clinics to serve its employees and their families, CNBC reported, citing sources familiar with the company's plans.
AC Wellness currently comprises two clinics and will exclusively serve Apple's employees in Santa Clara County, Calif., initially.
The Cupertino, Calif.-based technology giant also launched a website for the group, which includes listings for jobs including doctors, exercise coaches and designers who will help implement programs to prevent disease and promote healthy behavior.
The company plans to use the AC Wellness launch to roll out its range of health services and products.
The news follows a recent disclosure by JPMorgan Chase & Co., Amazon.com Inc. and Berkshire Hathaway Inc. over a partnership to enter the healthcare space.
