Sarup Industries Ltd said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, amounted to 1.56 Indian rupees per share, an increase from 73 paise per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 5.1 million rupees, a gain from 2.4 million rupees in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin climbed to 2.9% from 1.4% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue increased on an annual basis to 175.6 million rupees from 167.9 million rupees, and total operating expenses increased on an annual basis to 162.8 million rupees from 161.1 million rupees.
Reported net income grew on an annual basis to 6.6 million rupees, or 2.03 rupees per share, from 2.8 million rupees, or 87 paise per share.
As of Feb. 13, US$1 was equivalent to 62.03 Indian rupees.
