TenneT Holding BV launched and priced €1.25 billion of green bonds, according to a May 20 company news release.
The securities were offered in two tranches: €500 million of 0.875% green bonds with a term of 11 years and €750 million of 1.500% green bonds with a term of 20 years.
TenneT plans to use proceeds from the issuance to invest in green projects in the Netherlands and Germany, as well as to connect offshore wind farms to the power grid.
The company intends to invest €35 billion in offshore and onshore grid connections in the Netherlands and Germany over the next 10 years.
ABN AMRO, Barclays, HSBC, NatWest Markets and SMBC Nikko served as placement agents in the transaction.
