Insulet CEO/chairman to retire; replacements named

Insulet Corp. said Patrick Sullivan will step down as CEO and chairman at the end of 2018.

Sullivan will remain a consultant to the Billerica, Mass.-based medical device company until the end of 2019.

COO Shacey Petrovic was promoted to CEO, and director Timothy Scannell was named chairman of the board. Both appointments will take effect Jan. 1, 2019.

Petrovic will also join the Insulet board, and will continue to serve as the company's president.

Scannell joined Insulet's board in 2014, and has been president and COO of Stryker Corp. since August.
