Cindrella Hotels Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal fourth quarter ended March 31 came to 40 Indian paise per share, an increase of 38.7% from 29 paise per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 1.8 million rupees, a gain of 74.0% from 1.0 million rupees in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin rose to 12.7% from 9.3% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue rose 27.8% on an annual basis to 14.1 million rupees from 11.0 million rupees, and total operating expenses climbed 20.3% year over year to 11.1 million rupees from 9.2 million rupees.
Reported net income grew 69.1% on an annual basis to 1.9 million rupees, or 43 paise per share, from 1.1 million rupees, or 32 paise per share.
For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled 66 paise per share, an increase from 63 paise per share in the prior year.
Normalized net income was 2.9 million rupees, a gain of 30.4% from 2.3 million rupees in the prior year.
Full-year total revenue increased 7.0% year over year to 39.5 million rupees from 36.9 million rupees, and total operating expenses rose year over year to 34.0 million rupees from 32.7 million rupees.
The company said reported net income grew 27.9% on an annual basis to 3.2 million rupees, or 71 paise per share, in the full year, from 2.5 million rupees, or 70 paise per share.
As of June 8, US$1 was equivalent to 64.06 Indian rupees.
