OCC approves Bank of Ruston/First National Bank of Crossett merger

The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency on Aug. 13 approved the pending merger between Bank of Ruston and First National Bank of Crossett, according to information on the OCC website.

Louisiana-based Bank of Ruston is a unit of Century Next Financial Corp., while Arkansas-based First National Bank is a subsidiary of Ashley Bancstock Co. Century Next is acquiring Ashley Bancstock in a deal valued at $12.8 million in aggregate.
