Shire CEO gets $5.26M total pay in 2017

Shire PLC paid its CEO $5.26 million in total remuneration during 2017, almost half the $10.57 million he earned in 2016.

Flemming Ornskov received about $1.69 million in base salary plus $1.13 million in long-term incentives. The executive also received a short-term cash incentive of $1.4 million, among other benefits.

Ornskov's base salary has remained fixed since 2015 when he received a 25% increment, resulting in a backlash from the company's shareholders.
