Landsec chairman to step down in 2018

Landsec Chairman Alison Carnwath will step down and retire in 2018, after nine years in the position.

The company will engage consultants to find her replacement, with Carnwath to serve in the post until a new chairman is appointed.

Carnwath joined Landsec's board as a nonexecutive director in September 2004.

She is also chairman of private equity firm Livingbridge, a nonexecutive director of Zurich Insurance Group Ltd. and Paccar Inc., as well as a supervisory board member and audit committee chair of German chemicals company BASF SE.
