Postal Employees of Troy NY FCU merging into Capital Communications FCU

Members of Postal Employees of Troy N.Y. FCU voted to merge into Albany, N.Y.-based Capital Communications FCU at a Sept. 12 special meeting.

PETFCU will discontinue its operations at 400 Broadway in Troy, N.Y. The credit union pointed to "dynamic regulatory environment," which has created "significant pressures" on small financial institutions, as a reason for the merger. Its more than 150 members will join CAP COM FCU's membership of 133,000.

PETFCU had total assets of $1.2 million and CAP COM FCU had total assets of $1.84 billion, both as of June 30, according to S&P Global Market Intelligence data.
