CBS, Sinclair renew affiliate deals; expand streaming rights

CBS Corp. and Sinclair Broadcast Group Inc. struck a multiyear deal to renew the affiliation of four stations and expand distribution rights for the CBS stations to YouTube's new live streaming television service.

The deal also renews the participation of CBS Television Network's subscription video on demand and live-streaming service CBS All Access.

The stations in the affiliation deal are KUTV in Salt Lake City; KEYE in Austin, Texas; WSBT in South Bend, Ind.; and WGFL in Gainesville, Fla. The companies further agreed to assign Tribune Media Co.'s CBS affiliation agreements to Sinclair after Sinclair completes its pending acquisition of Tribune.
