Eni's Italian refinery returns to normal operations after explosion

Eni SpA's Sannazzaro de' Burgondi refinery in Italy returned to normal operations after an explosion on its gasification line early Sept. 17.

There was no fire, and no one was injured during the incident, Eni said in a Sept. 17 news release. Eni is still assessing the damage.

The Sannazzaro refinery is in Italy's Po Valley and has a capacity of 200,000 barrels per day.
