Freddie Mac secures insurance policies worth $618M

Freddie Mac has obtained two new insurance policies totalling approximately $618 million of coverage underlying a $66 billion reference pool of mortgages under its Agency Credit Insurance Structure program.

Freddie Mac has placed approximately $11 billion of insurance coverage through more than 40 ACIS transactions.

The policies also transfer a portion of the remaining credit risk on two of Freddie Mac's pool of single-family mortgages.
