Sorrento Therapeutics hires CFO ahead of potential dual listing

Sorrento Therapeutics Inc. appointed Jiong Shao executive vice president and CFO.

The appointment comes ahead of the San Diego-based biotechnology company's potential dual listing on Nasdaq and the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

Jiong earlier served as managing director and head of China technology, internet and media investment banking at Deutsche Bank AG. Prior to this position, he also held several managing director positions at Macquarie Capital.

During his banking career, Shao led a number of financing transactions including IPOs in both the New York and Hong Kong capital markets for corporations including Tencent, Alibaba and Baidu.
